Natural Artifice
Natural Artifice is an art installation & 360° video experiment at Denver Theatre District’s Understudy exploring how technology has changed the way we experience, understand and fantasize about nature. The work explores our connections and disconnections to our natural environments through the artificial tropes that represent them. Our backyard, the American West, has been embellished and fantasized about repeatedly giving it a hyperbolic persona. With this landscape as a backdrop, the project reimagines different myths of Mother Nature in the digital age.
