Ghost LIght
Nathan Hall
August 2015
Ghost Light was a 25 minute immersive sound installation created by musician and composer Nathan Hall. The piece was designed specifically for the Boettcher Concert Hall at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Attendees were invited to lay down on the stage and experience the performance in complete darkness except for one ghost light in the center of the stage. The program ran for two weeks, all while the Colorado Symphony was on its summer break, and featured live performances supplementing the installation.
The Denver Post called it “an adventure” and where “Hall sets us up to actually listen, then makes a meaningful, memorable occasion out of it.”
